DESCRIPTION:Free instrumental/modern classical solo piano performance of all original compositions on an upright piano in the Delavan Lake Store Lounge. Free Parking. Space to relax. Drinks\, ice cream\, and limited food options available for purchase. \n\n\n\nA little about me… \n\n\n\nI started teaching myself to play piano by ear a little two years ago now and I can’t read or write musical notation\, there was a digital keyboard I started tapping away on and it grew from there; I started pursuing public performances around a year ago. I have over 40 minutes of original compositions and continue to enjoy composing as it happens naturally; I love interesting patterns and harmonic sounds\, the process of the music coming together or finding something which resonates in certain ways is so special. \n\n\n\nI love being able to share the gift of music with others – sharing the peace\, harmony\, and relaxation of the vibrational experience. I do a lot of free performances at Assisted-Living Facilities\, Nursing Homes\, and some Senior Centers – trying to share music with those who may not have the opportunity to experience a live performance\, to give the gift of a free concert to others\, to be the change I wish to see. \n\n\n\nI love the vibration of acoustic pianos\, especially grand pianos; the Yamaha C3 Grand Piano and the Young Chang G-275 9′ Concert Grand are some of my favorite pianos played on so far. I look forward to an open sharing society and community which promotes the development of artists\, as well as each other\, without imposing so many restrictive barriers and hampering others by acts of greed and possessiveness. \n\n\n\nI enjoy performing my original compositions with passion. \n\n\n\nI find my music peaceful with some calm portions and some vibrant portions\, a sort of instrumental/modern classical type feel; my compositions don’t have names and I play my music like a symphony\, transitioning from song or portion into the next piece as it flows together. \n\n\n\nI hope you get a chance to enjoy the music and you are all welcome to attend! – Jacob

Welcomed by the Smilin’ Barn\, admission and parking are free. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in the orchard this year! \n\n\n\nRegistered service animals assisting an individual are allowed in the market and orchard. Comfort\, therapy and emotional support animals do not meet the definition of a service animal and are not permitted \n\n\n\nPick Your Own ApplesCheck here each Thursday to see What’s Pickin’ in the orchard and available in the market for that weekend. We’ll let you know which of our varieties are ready to pick and take home for eating\, baking and enjoying. Apple varieties ripen and are available at different times throughout Harvest Fest so please make sure to check our website to find when your favorites are ready! \n\n\n\nSmilin’ Barn CafeAdding to the fun is the Smilin’ Barn Cafe featuring BBQ pulled pork sandwiches\, hot dogs\, beef chili with scoop corn chips\, chili dogs\, chicken pot pie\, orchard-fresh apple cider\, slices of apple pie and caramel apples. Take a rest on the hay bales while telling your kids or grandkids about your own childhood memories of the harvest! \n\n\n\nHayrides\, Pony Rides\, and Train RidesEnjoy Southeast Wisconsin’s beautiful fall colors aboard our tractor-pulled hayrides that will take you throughout the orchard and up to our pumpkin patch and corn maze. Ride a friendly pony or take the East Troy Electric Railroad from our very own depot! \n\n\n\nCorn MazeAs part of our Harvest Fest\, The Elegant Farmer offers a family-friendly corn maze with easy in and out access for all ages. Come experience the fun and laughter this apple orchard design corn maze is sure to provide. \n\n\n\nPlease note that the last entry into the corn maze is 4 pm as Harvest Fest closes at 5 pm \n\n\n\nFarmer’s MarketA wonderful shopping experience\, The Elegant Farmer offers award-winning specialty foods in its Farm Kitchen Bakery\, Deli & Market including our famed Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag\, fruit crisps\, delicious CiderBaked Ham\, fruity applesauces\, jumbo muffins & cookies\, Blue Ribbon Cheeses\, seasonal fruits\, vegetables and more. The market is open year-round from 9am-6pm. Come in early and get a pack of apple cider donuts before heading over to the orchard that is open 10am-5pm Saturdays and Sundays. Grab dinner on the way out with our heat and eat ribs\, pulled pork\, CiderBaked ham or homemade chicken pot pies.
